Pulling from her deep rooted experience working with cacao and continually renewing her connection to spirit through ceremony and retreat, Bruna brings a deeply intentional vibration to her sets. Approaching her sets as a movement meditation, Bruna weaves sounds from around the world to bring the dancer into a hypnotic trance that transcends any particular cultural background or aesthetic.

Bruna Bortolato is a mentor, ceremonialist and dj who, with profound dedication, initiates cacao gatherings, opening hearts to feminine strength and deep healing. Her journey began at the age of 23 when she bravely left Brazil to delve into yoga, meditation, and ancient wisdoms around the world. Now, settled in the heart of Guatemala, surrounded by majestic mountains and the El Fuego volcano, she shares her passion and love for Cacao with those seeking transformation. Through these extraordinary assemblies, organized together with her partner Mose, she invites celebration of life, embodiment, and true freedom. She inspires the creation of spaces where participants can experience tender presence, cultivating gratitude and love, the foundations of a better world.

Trance Life (Ceremony) is a nomad and metamorphic Art project inspired by the music of Alex Serra in co-creation with Totidub. The Catalan dúo produced their first album ‘In the Real World’ in 2019, infused with Soul, Downtempo and Dub flavor. It was inspired by Alex’s adventures around South America and South Africa, in a four year backpacking journey that started in 2012. This music opened them the doors to travel around the world and connect with very diverse communities of artists around Europe, Latin America, Asia and USA.

Their second album ‘Trance Life’ is an evolution in the music, where Alex sings about his childhood, reconnecting to his roots – most of the songs are in Spanish – and the connection with Love and Life itself. Their concerts together become ceremonies with the intention to open up a space of connection and unity between everyone present.

Alex Serra is a musician and explorer, from the Mediterranean city of Barcelona.

Toti Arimany (Totidub) is a master producer of Dub and music programming.

They meet in 2017, introduced by a common friend, and immediately connect.
Shortly after, they start a one year experiment at a farmhouse reconverted into a musical laboratory.

Description

Mose is based in Guatemala where cacao ceremonies and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style. It is here that he founded regular cacao dances where members of the community have the opportunity to journey deep into dance while held in a ceremonial container, free of alcohol.

Beyond the multicultural rhythms and the steady hypnotic beat, Mose weaves ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion, often bringing in live musicians to create something improvisational connected with that particular place and time. He creates with the intention to set a foundation for self discovery and the cultivation of a present minded state which offers new insights and deeper clarity in ones purpose.

When he is not touring the world or playing these special events in Guatemala, he spends his time going into extended periods of retreat and silence, only to emerge with a deeper, truer and more refined sound. He also supports other emerging artists through his record label Resueño with an intention to bring resonant souls together to create music that uplifts and inspires. The label transcends any particular cultural aesthetic and explores a universal vibration through weaving sounds and languages from around the world. It is also a vehicle for social causes as 50% of all label profits are donated to causes around the world to help those most in need.

Chantress Seba, Singer of the stars, A voice to guide us home to our hearts. Gemini’s powerful ethereal vocals and channeled light language from the shining stars above combined with Finn’s earthy spacious instrumentation creates an atmosphere of deep remembering, allowing the divine to speak to the listener through mind, body, and soul.

During performances the couple guides the listeners through a ceremony, respecting the spirits of the surrounding land, waters, and universe. When singing Gemini then enters a deep state of meditation whereby a transcendental language (light language) is channeled through her from above, this process works like sound reiki that often results in the awakening of dormant emotions and the deepening of experience.

The humble and devoted couple of 11 years have lived a deep journey from life within an inner city environment, into remembering, honoring, and embodying their Divine purpose and connection to spirit. Their music reflects this devotional journey and deep understanding of how to transmute trauma and the strain of modern society into a harmonious connection with our true innate state of being, Love.

Gemini born in the UK has African, Indian, and Celtic ancestry, and Finn born Welsh with Irish and English heritage. This diverse ancestral lineage combined with the duo’s deep love and respect for South American Shamanic cultures creates fertile grounds for Gemini’s mainly lyricless vocal performances to communicate a globally and cosmically unified essence.

Chantress Seba’s music over the past 8 months has resonated across the world, assisting birthing mothers, terminal cancer patients, recovering addicts, war veterans, classrooms of children, healers, meditation devotees, and many more beautiful souls.

Maher Cissoko, a Senegalese kora player and percussionist, residing in Sweden, embodies a griot legacy of storytelling and musical heritage. His groovy compositions are rooted in forgiveness and peace and reflect the historical role of griots during adversity. Maher’s music speaks for change, healing, and unity, carrying the ancestral wisdom to resonate globally.

Sousou Cissoko, singer/songwriter from Sweden, possesses a captivating voice that transcends cultures, uniting hearts globally. Among the rare female kora players worldwide, her journey in mastering the enchanting instrument led her to study under revered kora masters across West Africa. Immersed in griot traditions since the age of 19, and growing up in a music family playing folk, blues and pop music her musical background extends beyond vocals and kora to various instruments, embodying a lifelong passion for melodies and connection.

Gabriel Epstein, born in Argentina in 1990 is a multi-instrumentalist music producer focused on the fusion of electronic music with ethnic and tribal instruments.
His travels through different cultures and his connection with shamanism is fully present and is the essence of his music.

Tayphoon’s ecstatic dance journeys are inspired by his Turkish heritage and his love for ethnic dance music from all around the world.

His sets are characterized by energetic waves which start in a meditative state and build up to an ecstatic outburst in which he invites the inner wild animal to be expressed and natural ecstasy to be experienced.
He guides the dancers through warm middle eastern melodies, bouncy ethno beats, powerful tribal rhythms and cheeky psy bass drops.
His sets incorporate a wide range of genres which welcome the dancers to reconnect with their light and their shadow and all the abundant flavors of emotion.

After discovering Ecstatic Dance Journeys at Boom Festival 2018 Tayphoon has been dancing regularly as first a team member and then spaceholder and DJ at Ecstatic Dance Hamburg. For the last 2 years he is a traveling Ecstatic Dance DJ who lives in the snowy mountains of Switzerland in winter and in his van in summer times, on the road.
