About
Charlie Orellana, visual artist and storyteller from Guatemala, draws inspiration from his base on Lake Atitlan. His work reflects his personal journey through community living, circus arts, conscious gatherings, and a deep appreciation for indigenous culture. Orellana’s creations capture raw and authentic portraiture and our profound connection to nature. The energy of Cacao and Volcanoes serves as a constant source of inspiration for him.
His storytelling and visual aesthetic have been part of Medicine Festival, Envision Festival, and Momentom Collective Artist Residencies. He has also documented stories in support of indigenous communities like the Bri-Bri and Mayan cultures.
Under the name of Aephicles, Orellana creates distinctive digital collages and visionary art. His unique style has become synonymous with conscious spaces, serving as the visual identity for events and music releases for Medicine Festival, Envision Festival and producer Mose and many recording studio releases. Notably, he has designed three oracle decks and an exhibit at Boom Festival in 2022.
