The breathing – A Collective Breathwork & Sound Ritual
Description
A collective journey where breath, gaze, voice and presence weave a living mandala. Together the room becomes a field. We hum until the sound in your chest is answered by the person beside you. We breathe in pairs, we meet another’s gaze, an invitation to be seen and to see while staying with ourselves. Then the breath turns inward, carried by everyone around you, before the ritual settles into sound and deep rest.
So much softens when we stop breathing alone. What we usually hold quietly gets held by the whole circle, and for a while nobody is separate.
A heart-opening practice in connection, presence, and the quiet power of breathing together.
Participation
Come in comfortable, warm layers, your body cools as it settles into rest. Bring a mat or a large cloth, a blanket and a small pillow so you can land softly, and water to drink. Socks and something to cover your eyes are lovely for the closing stillness. Come with an easy stomach, nothing heavy just before, and an open heart.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Breathwork is powerful and not for everyone. Please skip the active breathing or check with your doctor first if you are pregnant, or have epilepsy, heart or blood pressure issues, a history of aneurysm, recent surgery, a serious psychiatric condition, or take medication affecting your heart or mind. You can always soften the breath and rest at any point.
